Article Processing Charges (APC)

The Journal Draft

The Journal Draft follows a full open-access publishing model, ensuring that all published articles are freely and permanently accessible to readers worldwide. To maintain high editorial standards and sustainable publishing practices, an Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied only after a manuscript has been formally accepted for publication.

1. APC Amount

The Article Processing Charge for The Journal Draft is:

  • USD $50 per accepted manuscript

No charges are applied prior to acceptance.

2. What the APC Covers

The APC supports essential publishing and dissemination services, including:

  • Manuscript submission handling and editorial coordination
  • Rigorous double-blind peer review process
  • Professional copyediting and layout formatting
  • Assignment of Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs)
  • Online publication and long-term digital archiving
  • Journal website maintenance and technical support
  • Indexing and abstracting in scholarly databases
  • Open-access distribution under Creative Commons licensing

3. Transparent Fee Policy

The Journal Draft is committed to full transparency:

  • No manuscript submission fees
  • No peer review or evaluation charges
  • No additional fees for figures, tables, or color images
  • APC is charged only once, after final acceptance

There are no hidden or unexpected costs at any stage of the publication process.

4. Payment Process

Upon acceptance of a manuscript, the corresponding author will receive an official APC invoice containing payment instructions. Accepted payment methods include:

  • Bank transfer
  • PayPal
  • Credit/Debit card (upon request)

Payment must be completed before the article proceeds to final publication.

5. Waivers and Discounts

The Journal Draft recognizes financial constraints faced by some authors and may grant partial or full APC waivers in the following cases:

  • Authors from low-income or developing countries
  • Students and early-career researchers
  • Contributors to special issues (subject to prior agreement)

All waiver requests must be submitted at the time of manuscript submission and are evaluated individually.

6. Refund Policy

As APCs cover editorial processing and publishing services, no refunds will be issued once an article has been accepted and payment has been completed.
